Alabama News – Two women have been arrested and charged for allegedly stealing over $34,000 in merchandise from 12 CVS stores across Alabama.
According to the Cullman Police Department, Rosanna Imelda Bita and Ana Maria Larisa Bita stole $4,330 worth of merchandise from two CVS stores in Cullman on June 12, 2024.
Police gathered evidence and concluded that the two women were involved in other thefts in different locations. A vehicle description and license plate number were provided to authorities to help locate them.
On June 13, the Homewood Police Department located the vehicle and detained the suspects, leading to their arrest by Cullman investigators.
A search warrant was obtained for their vehicle, and authorities found evidence linking the suspects to thefts at 12 CVS stores in Alabama, totaling over $34,000. A significant amount of stolen merchandise was recovered from their vehicle.
The women were charged with two counts of organized retail theft and face additional charges in other counties across the state.
