healthylifeclub – A Consumer Alert has been issued for Oak Hill Market, located on the 500 block of Oak Hill Drive in Terrace Village, Pittsburgh. The Allegheny County Health Department recorded 17 violations during an inspection. High-risk issues included improper sanitation of the slushee machine and raw eggs stored above ready-to-eat food and drink.
Inspectors found rodent droppings “too many to count” in the store’s corners and under shelves. A bag of cheese curls showed signs of gnawing, with evidence of a nest nearby.
Additionally, there was a repeat violation as no certified Food Protection Manager was on site. The store remains under alert until reinspection, scheduled for June 27.
In contrast, the alert for Mia Pizza on Baum Boulevard in Bloomfield has ended after passing reinspection on June 18.
